Speaker Bio
Jill Freeman '89 has spent more than 20 years working in total rewards for large employers, where she gained firsthand insight into how effective and engaging communication shapes the employee experience. Today, she applies that experience to creative strategy and content development, helping Fortune 500 employers, point solution providers, and nonprofits make complex benefits easier for people to understand and use.
A native Midwesterner who grew up in Chicagoland, Jill still struggles to find good pizza in her adopted home of Portland, Oregon. Despite repeated heartbreak, she remains loyal to the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks—while making room in her sports-loving heart for the Portland Timbers.
Jill is a 1989 Valpo graduate and earned a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1996. Her creative muse is a shih tzu named Little Joe, who serves as an enthusiastic consultant on all projects in exchange for high-end treats and belly rubs. |
